The Alliance’s mission is to advance Inclusive Design as an approach to eliminating barriers in the built environment for communities that deserve greater representation in design. This approach includes designing spaces, products, and systems that are inclusive across all aspects of human diversity, including but not limited to, culture, gender, age, disability and neurodiversity.
The Alliance mission consists of five central aims:

Continue to to champion design for disability inclusion

Advance Inclusive Design for all marginalized and underrepresented groups and individuals

Increase Inclusive Design adoption through policymaking, education, and awareness

Expand project typologies for Inclusive Design

Convene and grow an “alliance” of multidisciplinary experts and practitioners
