Traci Rose Rider, PhD, WELL AP, LEED AP<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Co-Director of the Alliance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Traci is associate professor and University Faculty Scholar at NC State University\u2019s College of Design. She is an Interdisciplinary Research Leaders Fellow (C4) with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation working to advance health and equity. Her funded research focuses on how school environments in marginalized communities can increase positive health outcomes and community resiliency for the community at large, in addition to supporting mental, physical, and emotional health for students and families. Her focus is on interdisciplinary work addressing larger issues of health, sustainability, and resilience. She has two books that address green building guidelines and green materials, while her latest book, Building for Well-Being<\/a> <\/em>(2022), addresses health rating systems. Her courses explore existing buildings and operations, the WELL Building Standard, and the Living Building Challenge.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Victoria Lanteigne, PhD, WELL AP<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Co-Director of the Alliance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Victoria has been working to improve the built environment through equity, inclusive design, and health and wellness for the past 20 years. With a background in public policy, Victoria brings an interdisciplinary lens to building research with the aim of developing industry standards and frameworks for practical application. Victoria is passionate about championing the connection between equity, inclusive design, and building performance and was instrumental in the development of the universal\/inclusive design credits in LEEDv4 and WELLv2. Through her research, Victoria recently developed and launched the Building Equity Standard (BEST), a new resource aimed at helping practitioners embed equity in the design of the built environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ashley Beatty<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

PhD Student and Administration Support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ashley has fifteen years of professional experience in product development and fabrication. Her research focuses on the ethics of health technology design.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Alliance\u2019s intent is to collaboratively influence research, industry practice, and application of Inclusive Design and to conduct large-scale systemic research that shapes the future of Inclusive Design.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While The Alliance is rooted in architecture and the built environment, we strive to collaborate with colleagues from across NC State University, partner universities, governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, and professional design firms to help forward the mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
