Beginning with the Old Raleigh Scale, the first map\u00a0shows the locations of the 8 oldest churches in the Downtown Raleigh area\u00a0immediately surrounding the Capital grounds.\u00a0The New Raleigh scale map locates churches across the region and associates them\u00a0through hierarchy of cost and geographic location. The parcel-based layer highlights\u00a0the number of people who have moved in the last year to a given location, an attempt\u00a0to visualize the role churches may or may not play in anchoring our modern culture or\u00a0personal lives.\u00a0The third map, at the Wake County scale, represents the value of religious property in\u00a0relation to population above the poverty level.
