  • Pressed Glass
Over 1 million glass tiles clad the building’s exterior. Glass was selected over ceramic to better withstand the Denver weather. The custom glass tiles were pressed in to small projecting pyramids and they reflect the sun as it moves around the building. The back of the tiles were pressed to form undercuts so that the tile would mechanically bond to the grout. Corning Glass Works holds the patent on the manufacturing process.
