Hello! 你好!안녕 하세요!
Welcome to REACH !
A research team of Real Estate Action in Community Health from North Carolina State University!
REACH is funded by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Engaging Businesses for Health project, managed by Academy Health, which awarded grants to build the evidence base for how private-sector investment can help build a Culture of Health—promoting greater well-being and health equity for all.
We are exploring strategies and financial considerations used in decision making by private multifamily housing developers that are early adopters in supporting community health through the built environment.
The aims of this study will specifically address on:
1. Determine how and why private multifamily developers consider and include community health strategies and health-related amenities in new projects.
2. Determine the actual and perceived costs and returns for private developers to include community health strategies and amenities, in both total dollars spent and added construction premiums per project.
