Mapping Movement
As part of AIA Raleigh’s monthly event, Activate 14, Co/Lab was invited to install a digital, participatory map on daily routes and transportation. In conjunction with the month’s theme on “Transportation and movement,” this digital map served to capture the routes and modes and display them alongside existing transportation corridors (bike routes, greenways, and public transit routes) as well as the cities planned expansion and modification. The comparison aimed to spark conversation and debate about how the city was responding to citizen’s movements and transportation—to evaluate if those responses were accurately responding to the reality of everyday life.
