Contribution to the curriculum for Graduate and Ph.D. students in the School of Architecture in the College of Design at North Carolina State University is a critical component of the mission that BETlab has set for itself.

In order to encourage the kind of change in the design of buildings with concerns for energy efficiency and sustainability, students must be provided a platform to learn and discuss the issues surrounding topics related to building energy and technology.

Each of the courses led by BETlab faculty is targeted at developing fundamental knowledge, skills, and technical experience with various subjects and tools that are important elements of the current design environment for building energy.

From each course, a student should be able to come away with some experience that allows them to better achieve their goals for a more sustainable future for the built environment, and the fundamental knowledge of how to leverage those tools in design.
