Yuan Fang

Bio

Yuan Fang pursues a Ph.D. degree in the College of Design at NC State University. Ms. Fang worked and researched in the Green Building Studio of Tianjin University. She has designed several important projects in China and participated in a State funded program – Standards of Carbon Emission Measurement and Survey of Building Samples.

She has worked in joint programs with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Ecole Nationale Superieure D’architecture de Paris. She was awarded the First Prize in National Architectural Design Work of Undergraduate Students in 2009.

Research Interest

Yuan Fang is interested in building technologies aimed at environmental sustainability and energy efficiency. Her research focuses on the technology of smart building energy management and performance M&V (Measurement and Verification) using the information gathered from Building Automation and Energy Management Systems.
